It's A House

Blessed. I love Cape Town. Not like. Not lust. LOVE. There are a million reasons why, and one of them is this place. It's A House. Now It's A House is not a house. It's a creative hub. It's a safe space. It's a Cafe and bar and an office all rolled into one! It's beautiful! It's A House is an integrated space which promotes interaction, collaboration and offers comfort in a home type ambience where creativity and imagination can breed with ease. They have lunch specials and the best juice I have ever tasted, they host movie screenings, they throw parties and lots lots more. Imagine waking up and being excited to go to work. Imagine having a space filled with creative minds at your disposal as a sounding board for your ideas and projects. This is It's a House. You can find it at 20 Jarvis St. De Waterkant, Green Point. Find them online at itsahouse.co.za.

Artist Profile: Samara Lubbe- Skin Deep Ink

Blessed, This post is to highlight one of the best tattoo artists to bless Gabs city with her ink, Samara Lubbe of Skin Deep Ink. Lubbe is almost as eye-catching as her work and stands out as one of the best tattoo artists in Gaborone as far as I'm concerned. Her background in Fine Art definitely translates into her tattoo art with crazy attention to details like fine outlines, texture and shading. I can't imagine how brave one would have to be to leave a permanent mark on someone else's body, to me this makes tattooing one of the most daring and intimate art forms out there. Tattooes are a very personal, unique form of self-expression and can tell you a lot about a person just by looking at them. This series of photos documents part of the journey involved in bringing a tattoo to life, and this is the first tattoo completely designed by Lubbe herself. Maybe I might get a Faith In A Jar inspired tat sometime!
